Personal, Possessive, and Reflexive Pronouns

Pronoun คือคำที่ใช้แทนคำนาม

Personal Pronoun ทำหน้าที่เป็นประธาน / กรรมของประโยค

• He listens to music every day.
• A car hit him last night.
• I love you.
• She is missing him.
• I owe her some money.

Possessive adjective ทำหน้าที่เป็นคำแสดงความเป็นเจ้าของต้องมีคำนามตามหลังเสมอ

มองว่า มันทำหน้าที่เป็น Adjective (อยู่หน้านาม)

• My car is here.
• Your letter is over there.
• This is not your responsibility.
• Their dog was hit by a car.

Possessive pronoun ทำหน้าที่เป็นคำแสดงความเป็นเจ้าของไม่ต้องมีคำนามตามหลัง

• My car is here. — > Mine is here.
• Your letter is over there. — > Yours is over there.
• Look at these pictures. Mine is the big one.
• I like your flowers. Do you like mine?
• Your photos are great. Ours are terrible.
• These aren’t John and Jane’s children. Theirs have black hair.
• Is this his?
• This book is yours.
• Ours is the yellow one.

Reflexive pronoun ทำหน้าที่เป็นกรรมของกริยาโดย เน้นว่าประธานเป็นผู้กระทำ

• I cut my hair myself.
• He always talks to himself.
• I did it myself.
• She looked at herself in the mirror.
• We defended ourselves brilliantly.

Good กับ Well ต่างกันอย่างไร

หลักการโดยทั่วไป คือ
ทั้งสองตัวแปลว่า ดี
Good เป็น Adjective ทำหน้าที่ขยายนาม หรือ อธิบายคำนาม

Adjective (คำ คุณศัพท์) โดยทั่วไป มี 2 ตำแหน่ง
1. หน้านาม
2. หลัง Verb to be

เช่น

• This is a good song.
• I am not so good.
• This movie is good.
• Your English is great.

Well เป็น Adverb ทำหน้าที่ขยาย Verb, Adjective และ Adverb
เช่น

• You sang the song very well.
• He runs well.
• She swims well.
• You speak English well.

การใช้ be supposed to (ต้องใส่ verb to be ด้วยนะครับ)

Be supposed to แปลว่า สมควรที่จะต้อง มีความหมายในเชิง ‘จำเป็นต้องทำ’
be แทนด้วย is am are was were been
เช่น
you are supposed to go. แปลว่า คุณสมควรที่จะต้องไป
I am supposed to be there .แปลว่า ฉันสมควรที่จะต้องอยู่ที่นั่น
She’s supposed to call me. แปลว่า เธอสมควรที่จะต้องโทรหาฉัน
They are supposed to give us the answer today. แปลว่า พวกเขาสมควรที่จะต้องให้คำตอบเราวันนี้

You are supposed to go มีความจำเป็นที่จะต้องไปมากกว่า you should go ที่แปลว่า คุณควรไป
คล้ายๆ กัย have to หรือ must ที่แปลว่า คุณต้องไป แต่ การใช้ have to หรือ must จะเป็นเชิงบังคับมากกว่า
