I went to the National Concert Hall last Monday. My chorus teacher invited us to see a performance about a chorus. The chorus was from Vancouver. There were about twenty people in this chorus. All of them had beautiful voice, so we really enjoyed the performance. We were all surprised that they sang some Taiwanese songs. I could dare to say their pronunciations were better than some of us. After the concert ended, the host said we could ask the chorus members for a sign. So we went to the place and gained their signs. This was the first time I took the playbill and asked the performers for signs. However, I was a little sad. I tried to talk to them in English, because I thought it was a good chance to practice English. But when I faced to them, I was so nervous that I couldn’t say any complete sentence. I used very simple words to ask them for signs. Though I gained their signs finally, my chorus members played a joke on me. I just also played a joke on me and said “In fact, I’m a fake English major student.” We all laughed but I was sad in my mind. I had a good time during the chorus members were singing. However, I was a little disappointed during the way home. I learned a lesson in this event. I know I am not good at conversation in English before, but I still ignore this problem. I can’t ignore this problem anymore, because I am an English major student now. It is very important in not only writing but also speaking for me.
